There's something magical about Tibet.

There is something unique about Tibet. Whether it is its culture, potential mineral resources, political movement, religion, its recent riot that rocked the world, tourism, Dalai Lama or maybe just its luxurious railway, Tibet always grabs the headline in one news or another.

I was thinking about Tibet yesterday when I missed the bus stop I was suppose to alight, ended had to walk 20 minutes back to my destination at Siping Road. Told you, there's something about Tibet that makes one obsessive or just pure OOh-Ahh about Tibet.

When I heard about Tibet again, It was on a BBC Broadcast. What caught my attention was an interview with Yangrui from CCTV with BBC. It was the first time I came to understand why it's so difficult to accept the dry humour of the Brits. It's filled with sarcasm, and in the right mind, any Brit can seriously make you rather shameful and embarrass at the wrong time and wrong place. Yangrui, a perhaps politically cheerful, and hopes the best for his mother land journalist, was playing too much Tai-chi with the BBC fat lady. Fat lady asked what's on Tibet, maybe due to bad traffic in the air and lots of noises, Rui replies back in regard to Taiwan and Chen Shui Bian, when he should know that the program was specifically based on the current situation in Tibet. After Bishing and Boshing around, Rui's final answer to the situation in Tibet was "I don't know". It was rather hilarious, the issue covered by the BBC on China, as they managed to find all sorts or personals to talk over the phone globally, only to be given remarks that makes one wanna hide in the closet. Poor Mitch, our dear American friend in China, who grumbled and whined about the poor traffic, the poor conditions in China, the poor pollution that can possibly clogged any Olympians, only to be replied Hey look! It's not just China, its as bad in any city around the world, even American ones or something like that.

And seriously, there's something magical about Tibet. When news broke out there's something happening in Tibet again, everybody points their finger to China again. Maybe because history was always a karma. What you did once, will always come back to you, so everyone suspected China to be the accused and Tibet the victim again(1959 March 10). We see clips released by CCTV, and clips released by foreigners in Tibet, without realising the full picture of what was going on.

Surprisingly, as more information was collected, we eventually found out that perhaps the Free Tibet movement was too collaborated to be the Accused's verdict. In various of the world, China embassies were targeted and attacked spontaneously within the same period of time. And Tadah! The killings in Lhasa was done by the locals targetting Han Chinese and their properties. Now now, we have to scratch our heads now as foreigners who listens to CNN and BBC too much. Why in the first do we doubt the PRC? Why did we never frown upon the Tibet in the first place? Told you, there's something magical about Tibet. Hoho.

Nah, CNN and BBC just suck actually. They can go join Hollywood or Bollywood if they want to.

There's something magical about Tibet. Maybe our dear Dalai googled something on Cultural Genocide and found this:

Cultural genocide is subtler than physical genocide -- its tools are less obvious. So now China can extend its dilution of Tibetan culture into cyberspace with expert assistance. Google has agreed to filter out every aspect of Tibetan life that the Chinese government finds offensive, leaving only propaganda, misrepresentations, and outright lies about Tibet and Tibetans. It's amazing. The Tibetan people spent thousands of years developing their history and culture, and Google managed to make it disappear in little more than a year with only a few algorithms.

But should China really face charges? Or perhaps Dalai cannot see any possible changes for his beloved Tibet this lfietime?

One thing for sure, China holds a iron fist in regard to the developments in Tibet. The comfortable housing program brought forth last year, was another chagrined moment for Tibetians. But we cannot oppose the efforts the PRC tries to improve the situation in Tibet.

This dog is one of the most expensive dogs in China right now. 1 Million RMB?

Railroad to Tibet here in China is comfortable and full of scenic landscapes?

This Thiongster Mineral Water is expensive as Evian.

We can say that every action the PRC do is to improve the sitaution in Tibet. It's a magical place! The only problem PRC is facing is somehow like what USA is facing on the Afs problem. Afs chases out the Sovs, but left Afs so bad a rubble place to live in the Afs have the Talis to disturb us eventually. PRC does it the other way round. PRC does no such thing though. Its just something of what the PRC chants so much about nowadays. Intangible heritage. You go chant so much and preech so much about it, but it's so hard to impose it down especially when Tibet do not belong to Tibet, so how to determine something of value when something of value is determined by someone else?

There's something magical about Tibet. Still, the actions carried out in Tibet is shameful. The actions carried out all over the world by Tibetians are shameful. And our Dalai should start using Baidu.com instead of Google, that way the PRC will maybe give a chance for a change and talk to him.

Hello Malaysia! Let's get security tighten up for safety travelling!

For those of you who do not know, the situation in Johore Bahru, Malaysia, is that secuirty is bad due to many robbery happening in that region. Most of the cases happening were done by immigrants coming from indonesian. This immigrants came in illegally or was hired as construction workers. Minimum salary could have forced this people to lead a criminal life. Also, these could also depict a situation in which many offenders continue to carry out such offences many times due to the fact that government is not reacting to it seriously. I believe the locals also form their own syndicate to carry out such crimes. Besides robbery, they kill people and rape women in their robbery attempts. Whatever it is, I seriously hope that Johore Bahru will be a safer place to stay, as well as many other states of Malaysia should enforce and improve the situation across the Nation.

below is an article from the star malaysia:

JOHOR BARU: His house has been broken into twice and even his 11-year-old son had been held up when robbers raided his tuition teacher’s house.

So when businessman Teh Kee Sin heard about the Cabinet’s directive to increase policemen in the city, he breathed a sigh of relief.

“They should send out the army too,” he said.

Teh said many residents were living in fear, as anyone could be the next victim of crime.

“It is very worrying. It makes us very fearful. Even to go to the car porch, my son carries an umbrella or a golf club. He was traumatised after the robbery last year. I am sure other crime victims are, too,” he said.

Teh, who is also the Southern Johor Small and Medium Industries Association president, said potential investors were sceptical about venturing into Johor Baru due to its reputation as a hotspot for crime.

“Businessmen, especially those from Singapore and abroad, tell me that unless we solve the crime issue they are not too keen on investing here,” he said.

Some resident associations have resorted to hiring guards to protect their homes. In Serene Park, six guards patrol the neighbourhood on motorcycles from 9pm daily.

Serene Park Neighbourhood Watch committee chairman Raymond Koh said it was impossible to expect the police to watch over every area in the city 24 hours a day.

“We have had very good success in keeping crime in check through our patrols. If our guards see any suspicious characters, they do not confront them, but alert the police immediately,” he said, adding that the police always responded quickly.

“The system works for us and is worth the money spent,” he said.

It is quite hilarious looking at the comments of some locals. Militant to be called upon to curb such issues? Yes, maybe. Malaysia got National Service, no? But oh, too short. Roll picking did not ensure most Malaysians to go through National Service. With only 3 months of training, they were built to know basic military training. This differs in Singapore, where all our kuniang bengs must go through 2 years of service. The government even situate Police and Army National Service Men in important landmarks like Changi Airport as a call against international secuirity. But local unrest is not terrorism. I think the first step that Malaysia should look upon is do a stoppage on such crimes, heighten the levels of trust in the society by eliminating all this unwanted crimes. How many of us Singaporeans went over to Malaysia by our own transport the past few years to have our cars and motorcycles stolen? Now what, we might even lose our lives or get our arms amputated? Worse, if our love ones go along, they get raped and mutilated?

If private services are needed to hire securities to prevent such crimes, yes go ahead. We just want to see a more stable society and weekends trips to Malaysi possible without any fears and hindrance. This year you all promoting Malaysia Tourism 2007 right? Do it with pride then!

Yamade! Yamade! Stop saying there is No massacre in Nanking!

I find it cynical that Japan is always reporting in the news that World War II never seemed to happened. They always love to think that all the sins they had done 70 years ago were stories made up by martians who came down to make Homosapiens look stupid. LJ lor.. what never happened. u think everything can fabricate out like fake discoveries meh? Is facing up to reality such a harsh issue?

But Japan just love to deny any war crimes that are ready to shame their national identity. Eh, why can't they just face up to reality like how the Germans do? At least they acknowledge about their brutal Nazi Power in World War II, their urge to dominate and remove the Jews through their curel genocide. Recently as I was looking through articles online, I found the same news appearing again:

"source: Reuters, The Associated Press

TOKYO: About 100 Japanese governing party lawmakers denounced the Nanjing Massacre as a fabrication on Tuesday, contesting Chinese claims that Japanese soldiers killed hundreds of thousands of people after seizing the Chinese city in 1937.

The members of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Liberal Democratic Party said there was no evidence to prove mass killings by Japanese soldiers in the captured Nationalist capital, then known as Nanking. They accused Beijing of using the alleged incident as a "political advertisement."

Nariaki Nakayama, head of the group created to study World War II historical issues and education, said documents from the Japanese government's archives indicated that about 20,000 people were killed - about one-tenth of the more commonly cited figure of 150,000 to 200,000 - in the 1937 attack. China says that as many as 300,000 people were killed.

Nanjing suffered a rampage of murder, rape and looting by Japanese troops that became known as "The Rape of Nanking." Historians generally agree that the Japanese Army slaughtered at least 150,000 civilians and raped tens of thousands of women.

Nakayama said the study, which was initiated in part because this year is the 70th anniversary of the battle, determined there was no violation of international law.

Toru Toida, another member of the group, demanded that photographs portraying the Japanese military in a negative light be removed from Chinese war memorials. "We are absolutely positive that there was no massacre in Nanking," Toida said."

I can easily find websites via Google and get articles in relation to what they did. Iris Chang, the author of the Bestseller The Rape of Nanjing did an indepth research through various information mediums in order to publish her work. Websites like 1937 Nanjing Massacre has great resources of Images and articles as well books as reference to the historical event. You can say whatever you want. You can even say the images are photoshopped. But end of the day, you play Taiji better than anyone else.

I grew up in a small country called Singapore. There was something called the Japanese Occupation. There was curl treatments in which my grandparents had gone through. I had seen the worthless Currency called Banana Money. I have my own share of History Lessons offered by my Local Government. But why, why of all things they just need deny it? Is it because Japan don't have good paparazzi to cover good news like how the British do? Or is it just because constipation leads to them wanting to think enlightment of truths can be reached through disowning of truths?

Every year, I see the same news coming out again and again. Oei, you not bored one huh. I rather you go make more PS3 games for us play, go re-invent your pornster, or make some new Godzilla movie. But please stop denying No Massacre please!
